The Question of the Week is “How do you manage your bills? Give us your best tip!”

 Mostly, I just hand them off to my husband.


Seriously, we develop a budget using a list in Word. As each item is paid off, we mark the item in red and subtract it from our running total. Typically, we pay the bills over the phone. We’ve tried the online payment thing and it never worked that well. So, this is a system that works for us, most of the time.

The bills that we receive in the mail are placed in a hanging letter holder until bill paying day (usually my second paycheck of the month).
