Autumn is my favorite of the seasons. Crisp in the mornings and evenings, warm in the afternoon. Beautiful colors and the excitement of the upcoming holidays. I wish it could be Autumn all year round but without Winter/Spring/Summer I wouldn’t be able to appreciate my favorite season!

While tootling through Flickr, I found some lovely images of Autumn in California.

Manzanar at Lone Pine

Beautiful, isn’t it? This is just north of my hometown, Ridgecrest. You’d never know that, during WWII, there was a Japanese internment camp at the end of this road.

Mount Shasta

Mt. Shasta surrounded by lovely autumn colors. Crisp and cool and wonderful!

Both images are a contrast of beauty and terror, if you know what you are looking at.
